H.I.I.T. Release

hiit picHigh intensity interval training, core strength, and deep stretching, all in one hour. H.I.I.T. burns more fat in less time while preserving your lean muscle, and it’s not just for elite athletes. Anyone can add intervals that are intense (for them) to a workout and the benefits are tremendous!* We’ll spend about 20 minutes, after warming up, doing intense intervals of cardio and strength exercises (10-90 seconds) interspersed with light movement or rest, allowing you to tap into a higher intensity than you’d normally be able to reach. The high demand, even for short bursts, creates positive metabolic changes far beyond a steady state work. This equates to more fat being used for energy, more muscle tissue preservation, a longer after-burn, and you getting in better shape. H.I.I.T. has even been shown to improve symptoms of Diabetes, Parkinson’s, and COPD!

*If you haven’t exercised at all in a long time, having a base level of fitness such as some consistent walks a few times a week for a few weeks is recommended first.

It’s an athletic urban dance fitness workout for everyone – no dance experience needed. It’s easy to follow, seriously fun, and appeals to everyone, male and female, teenagers to seniors. Within 3-5 classes, your muscle memory allows you to get more into the moves, adding to the sweat, smiles and calorie burn.. and it’s all set to the hottest beats (Bollywood, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, and more). And I promise, no one cares what you look IMG_3071like. If they do, they should be at the clubs!

Sculpt

Using a combination of dumbbells, bands, body weight, balls, and TRX suspension straps, you’ll spend 45 minutes getting a total body workout. The benefits of strength training include increased energy due to healthier joints that make moving feel easier, increased fat burn due to a higher metabolism from maintaining or building muscle, increased ease with everyday tasks, a sense of empowerment, and strong healthy muscles. (This class can be taken in combination with my U-Jam right after it for a nice strength and cardio mix.)
