H.I.I.T. Release

hiit picHigh intensity interval training, core strength, and deep stretching, all in one hour. H.I.I.T. burns more fat in less time while preserving your lean muscle, and it’s not just for elite athletes. Anyone can add intervals that are intense (for them) to a workout and the benefits are tremendous!* We’ll spend about 20 minutes, after warming up, doing intense intervals of cardio and strength exercises (10-90 seconds) interspersed with light movement or rest, allowing you to tap into a higher intensity than you’d normally be able to reach. The high demand, even for short bursts, creates positive metabolic changes far beyond a steady state work. This equates to more fat being used for energy, more muscle tissue preservation, a longer after-burn, and you getting in better shape. H.I.I.T. has even been shown to improve symptoms of Diabetes, Parkinson’s, and COPD!

*If you haven’t exercised at all in a long time, having a base level of fitness such as some consistent walks a few times a week for a few weeks is recommended first.

Sweat as much as going for a run but have way more fun! You’ll be craving more! There are always modifications including level 1 and 2 options, so you make it work for you. Within 3-5 classes, your muscle memory allows you to really get your groove on, adding to the sweat, smiles and calorie burn. There’s Bollywood, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, Afro Beats, K-Pop and more. And I promise, no one is watching youIMG_3071 since they’re too busy workin’ out their own groove, so go ahead… dance like nobody’s watching!

Deep Stretch

Do you struggle with new or nagging old aches and pains that hold you back too often, both with everyday activity or with workouts? Proper, consistent, varied and thorough stretching can make a world of difference! This is a pure stretching class including all methods: static, dynamic, PNF, and active isolated stretching to get the most thorough response. Put 30 minutes into letting go of tension & rebalancing the pull on your joints from overly tight muscles, causing opposing muscles to be strained and irritated. We’ll also add a bit of trigger point rolling with tennis balls (provided) to help stubborn spots release.
